Cole Design and Development, LLC is a firmware and embedded systems engineering company based in Hudson, Ohio, building end-to-end hardware solutions — from device firmware to the physical products that house it.
I joined as an Embedded Systems Engineering Intern, working across IoT firmware, backend systems, and machine learning for edge devices — work that led to a full-time role as Firmware Engineer. Today my scope spans four disciplines: frontend interfaces for configuring and monitoring devices, backend systems that power them, system architecture, and — less conventionally for a software role — industrial design of the enclosures the hardware ships in.
